Bathroom Concept Package
$990.00 AUD
Like any other space to be designed there are principles of good design, such as
- The bathroom must have sufficient room to use the space. The door to the bathroom must be easy to move around and there should be space for drying.
- There needs to be appropriate storage, accessories, mirror and counter space.
- The bathroom needs to be located in a private position preferably within easy reach of the bedrooms.
- Access to natural light if possible and well lit artificially.
- Located efficiently near other rooms using water and drainage.
- Will the toilet be in the same room or a separate room from the rest of the bathroom?
- Niches built in to the design can be useful for a storage, for storing items used in the shower.
- Glass shower screens need to de designed so the door handle isn't going to bang into it and smash it.
- Storage, towel hanging and heating, and any other small fixtures such as toilet roll holders, soap holders, shower shelves etc. all need consideration
- Is there room for a chair or seat in your bathroom layout?
- Toilets can be wall mounted or floor mounted and cisterns can be built in to the wall, under a bench, in the ceiling or part of the toilet suite. The waste pipe can go through the floor ( s trap) or through the wall ( p trap) or to the side ( left or right scew ). It is important to be buying the right one for your project
- Do you have room for a bath and a shower, or just a shower? If you’re going for a shower bath you will need a slightly wider bath and a screen?
- Do you want a bath built in or free-standing bath ( if you have enough space)?
- For a basin you can choose to go wall mounted, or floor mounted with a pedestal, or there’s the built in vanity option. If you don’t go for the vanity option you will need adequate provision for storage elsewhere in your bathroom layout.
- Do you want a bidet, a bidet seat on the toilet or a toilet that has a bidet function
This package will help you work through many of these options so that you have a space plan and know what is going to fit and where everything is going to go.
The next stage after this package is looking at the finishes, selecting fittings, tiles and colours, designing cabinets, and developing the concept plan.
